This will be my first event since the last Handmade Show two years ago and I can't wait to set up my stand and meet visitors face to face again!

Upcoming Event - The Handmade Show! Sunday November 18th 2019

The Handmade Show is on at Perth Concert Hall, Sunday 18th November, 10.30 - 4.30pm!

I will be there as usual with all my new makes and regular favourites.

New since my last blog post are these cotton canvas tote bags.

Each bag is double sided with a different image on each side. Heavier duty than your average canvas bag with nice long handles too.

I also have new tins available with my artwork on them.
Great for use as a sewing tin, button, biscuit or cake tin. Crochet hooks, knitting notions, bits and bobs, the list is endless!

I should have another design in time for The Handmade Show as well.

My needle felted brooches have been very popular this year and I will have a good selection of them with me on the 18th. I also have some in my Etsy shop in the 5 cm round size above and the oval shape below.

The treble clef brooches are also new. They are made with my own handmade and embroidered felt. Each one is different and beautifully textured.

I have new earrings in stock featuring beautiful handmade ear wires by Newburgh based jeweller Anne Miller. Pendants to match also available.

My felt Ivy Leaf Brooches and Harris Tweed Bird Brooches are great at this time of year for brightening up a coat or cardigan, also useful for keeping cardigans closed at the front or for use as a shawl pin.

These birdies above feature a cute little thistle on their wings to compliment the Harris Tweed.

Back in May I received a  beautiful selection of hand turned wooden trinket boxes by local wood turner Mike Kelly, inlaid with my felt artwork. They sold like hot cakes and I am delighted to say that a new batch arrived last week!

They are so beautiful to touch and hold as they are lovely and smooth and polished to a beautiful sheen. Each one is different and made from either beech, ash or cherry wood. They are all in my Etsy shop at the moment and will be coming with me to The Handmade Show.

Another new addition to my range of 'useful items printed with my artwork' are these pocket notebooks. A6 size with the pages alternating between plain and ruled, they make great little project bag books, sketch books, hand bag notebooks etc.

Don't forget that my 2019 Wall Calendar is available now!

The Handmade Show is my last event this year but of you can't make it along, my Etsy shop is the best place to find everything that is available right now. I'm working hard to keep it up to date every day but as always, feel free to contact me with any enquiries.

I also have a selection on my work available on
Handmade @ Amazon. If you prefer to shop on Amazon, I am happy to list items on there for you if they are not there already. Just email me at aileenclarkecrafts@yahoo.com

The Handmade Show, The Makers Market and The Loft

With three more events to attend this month, I have been crazy busy keeping up with my making as well as online orders.

I really enjoyed myself at Aberfeldy and I'm very much looking forward to these three events over the next three weekends.

The Handmade Show is this Sunday, the 15th November at Perth Concert Hall.
This is a free event and a chance to meet artists and makers from all over the country.
10.30 - 4.30 pm

I will then be at The Makers Market at St Andrews Town Hall on Saturday 21st November.
The Town Hall is in the centre of St Andrews on Queen's Gardens. It's a beautiful venue in a beautiful town. Well worth the visit.
11 - 4 pm. Also free entry.

and at the end of the month on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November, I will be at
The Loft at Ardross farm Shop
Elie, KY9 1EU
Saturday 9 - 5 pm, Sunday 9 - 4 pm

I have a few new makes for these events as well as a good supply of my usual work.

New this week are these Felt Boxes with Wooden Butterfly Button lids.
£28

I made a couple of Seascape Boxes as well.
This is my favourite with real shells decorating the lid.
£45

I really enjoyed making the felt for these boxes. Rich in silk fibres in deep sea greens and blues with streaks of purple. The designs are hand stamped onto the lids.

I'll have lots of my textile and resin jewellery with me at the above events. There is a competition run by 'Small City Big Personality' to win this set along with two other gifts from other makers attending The Handmade Show in Perth. Click here to enter.

I'll have lots of new cushions with me including this Dragonfly design below.

I'll be adding lots more to my Etsy shop in Monday 16th November. If you are too far away to attend any of the events but are interested in my work, please feel free to contact me at aileenclarkecrafts@yahoo.com

I also have a range of framed felt art and jewellery as The Atholl Gallery in Dunkeld.

Some of my framed work is also available at the West Street Arts Centre in Penicuik until December 4th.

The best way to keep up with what's new from me is on my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog

I also have new cards just in.
I still have the original felt pictures of these two as well and will make them available online next week if I still have them after the show.

After The Handmade Show I have a break from my big fairs but will have a stall at

December and It Finally Feels Like Winter!

Here are a few pieces I made using all that stash shown in the last post.

Heart Shaped Pendant
£20

 Wrist Cuff
£18

Wrist Cuff
£18
Just click the photos to go to the listings for more information and use your 'back' button to come back here.

I received a commission from a customer to make her a silvery grey felt brooch so I made a few and let her choose which one she preferred.
This one is now available in my Folksy Shop

Silvery Grey Brooch
£12

I also managed to get a couple of new boxes made. I sold all but one of the previous ones.

These are both in my Etsy Shop priced £30 each.

I have also been busy with more sheep pendants
Got some new ones available both on Etsy and Folksy but they are selling out really quickly.

All my chains now come with a little extension making them wearable up to 18 inches long.

I wore one of my own pendants and a matching ring to the Trad Music Awards last night in Perth. My outfit was purple and mauve so I wore a textile and resin heart and purple textile ring to match and I did feel that the 16" chain was a little short on this occasion.

The Trad Awards were fantastic with such a great line up and everyone decked out in their finery and killer heels! Except I don't do heels. It's hard enough negotiating stairs in a long flouncy skirt never mind heels as well! We were on the lower balcony seats but I still managed to come home with these beautiful Amaryllis from one of the tables.

You can watch highlights from the Trad Awards on BBC Alba on Monday night and on the BBC i player for a week after. I'll be watching with my daughter and playing 'Spot Granny In The Crowd'! My Mum was at one of the tables with other Folk Club and TMSA members enjoying the wine and chocolates.

And last but not least on this little catch up post, I have made this felt landscape available in my Folksy Shop also.

'Red Poppies Along The Wall'
£46
